Rate:
$50-60/hr Third Party International is seeking a Senior Program Quality Engineer to provide quality engineering and mission assurance support for a defense manufacturing program. This role supports program teams across contract requirements, supplier quality flowdowns, inspection planning, process monitoring, corrective action leadership, and data driven quality improvement. The work may include on site support at internal supplier locations and direct supplier monitoring. About the Role You will ensure conformance to customer contract quality requirements, develop and implement quality plans and inspection requirements, lead MRB and corrective action activities, and support audits and customer submissions. You will work cross functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and inspection teams to integrate quality into design and production and to drive measurable improvements in yield and process capability. Key Responsibilities Provide quality engineering support to program and project teams Identify contractual quality requirements and ensure compliance across the program Develop program quality plans, inspection procedures, and quality requirement flowdowns Develop and implement receiving, in process, and supplier inspection requirements Perform on site monitoring of manufacturing lines and supplier processes Lead MRB and corrective action board activities and drive closure of corrective actions Participate in FRACAS activities and support failure analysis and containment Perform statistical analysis on yield, SPC, and key characteristic performance and communicate trends Review and approve supplier quality documentation such as control plans, test plans, inspection plans, MSA evidence, first article packages, and audit reports Support customer and regulatory audits including preparation, responses, and follow up actions Maintain and support site quality management system processes aligned to
ISO 9001 2015
Drive continuous improvement using lean and six sigma methods Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in engineering or applied sciences plus 8 to 12 years of quality engineering experience, or a Master degree plus 5 to 8 years of experience US Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance Strong metrology background including inspection techniques, measurement systems, and calibration concepts Strong GD and T and drawing interpretation skills Proven root cause and corrective action leadership experience Strong statistical analysis skills and experience applying quality tools such as DOE, FMEA, and MSA Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal teams and suppliers Working knowledge of quality management systems aligned to
ISO 9001 2015
Preferred Qualifications CQE and or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Experience in a defense contract manufacturing environment DFMEA and PFMEA experience Manufacturing background including familiarity with machining, fine electromechanical assembly, electronics assemblies, automation, or material science Supplier quality management and development experience MRB process leadership experience Experience interpreting and presenting quality metrics to leadership Experience with energetics or other hazardous products
