If you enjoy leading process improvements, working cross-functionally, and using data-driven tools like SPC, root cause analysis, and DOE, this is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Compensation Competitive salary (based on experience) $75,000-$88,000 Bonus eligibility (if applicable) Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401K, profit sharing) Paid time off and holidays Work Schedule Full-time, in office, daytime hours Occasional travel may be required for customers, vendors, or other facilities Why Placon - You'll Love It Here High-impact leadership role in quality engineering Opportunities to train, mentor, and develop team members Work in a collaborative, cross-functional manufacturing environment Be part of a growth-focused and innovative culture Influence product quality, safety, and process improvements company-wide What You'll Do Lead quality system development, product safety, and compliance initiatives Support New Product Development (NPD) including: PFMEA, DFMEA, design reviews, and product specifications Develop and implement: Process control plans, SPC systems, and quality metrics Use statistical analysis tools, DOE, and GR&R studies to improve processes Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) using 5 Whys and structured methods Direct and mentor Quality Technicians and Specialists Develop and deliver training on quality systems, SPC, and continuous improvement tools Support supplier quality and vendor audits Create and communicate quality performance metrics and reports to leadership Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives What You Bring Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in: Engineering, Quality, Mechanical, Industrial Technology, or related field 5+ years of experience in quality engineering or process engineering in manufacturing Preferred Qualifications Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Experience in plastics packaging, food, or medical manufacturing Knowledge of ISO, SQF, GMP, and quality systems audits SkillsExperience Strong knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis tools Experience with Root cause analysis, DOE, process validation, and capability studies Proven ability to lead projects and direct team activities Excellent communication and training skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects independently Work EnvironmentPhysical Requirements Combination of office and production floor environment Occasional lifting (up to ~30 lbs for samples or tooling support) Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally Apply Today If you're ready to take the next step in your career as a Senior Quality Engineer and drive meaningful improvements in quality and manufacturing performance, we encourage you to apply today.
