Machining Manager Modern Machining Solutions Kansas City, MO Position Overview Machining-Engineering company is seeking a Machining Manager to lead all machining operations across a diverse and advanced precision manufacturing environment. This role oversees approximately 35 team members across: 6 Conventional Lathes 13 Conventional Mills (up to 5-Axis) 11 High-Speed Micro Mills 19 CNC Swiss Lathes Manual Machining Department Responsibilities Lead, develop, and hold accountable a 35-person machining team Oversee daily production, scheduling, and performance across all machining departments Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, and machine utilization Provide technical leadership in CNC (5-axis and/or Swiss preferred), micro-milling, and tight-tolerance machining Ensure quality standards for medical, aerospace, and high-precision industries Qualifications Strong machining background in a precision environment Leadership experience managing teams Solid understanding of GD&T and complex print interpretation Experience with 5-axis and/or Swiss machining preferred Process-driven mindset with strong communication skills
