Job Description Position Summary:
We're looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer who thrives on the shop floor and knows how to turn problems into process improvements. This role is focused on driving continuous improvement, supporting equipment and process reliability, and helping scale operations through lean principles and standardization. You'll work closely with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to improve productivity, troubleshoot issues, and support new equipment installations. From optimizing plant layout to building preventative maintenance programs, this role plays a key part in keeping the facility running efficiently and safely. This is not a desk-only role—you'll be actively engaged in daily manufacturing operations, providing technical direction, solving real-time issues, and ensuring processes are aligned with quality, safety, and performance standards. This position is NOT eligible for visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities:
Implement continuous improvement through the utilization of engineering concepts and lean principles to enhance productivity, eliminate waste, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and planning teams to support process improvements and standardization across manufacturing sites. Develop solutions to a variety of complex and unique problems that require independent judgement and ingenuity to modify procedure standards related to plant layout, design, and construction. Provide technical support during new equipment installation, commissioning, and testing phases. Coordinate with the Facility Manager and teams to maintain quality of all work process systems and assist in documentation of standard work and training. Assist with first pass troubleshooting, minor repairs, and establishing preventative maintenance programs to ensure that all industrial machinery and equipment operates smoothly. Help analyze root causes for manufacturing issues and resolve. Provide technical product assistance when required. Support project coordination/engineered products/sales departments through preparation of documentation such as product specific engineering submittal drawings and manufacturing procedures. Expected to maintain a strong presence on the production floor, actively engaging in the daily manufacturing operations Provide daily technical direction and prioritization to maintenance team to ensure alignment with production goals and operational efficiency Ensure our LEAN program is properly implemented and maintained across the facility. Ensure documentation and data entry align with quality and standard work. Abide by all company safety rules, regulations, and policies. Responsible for attending all assigned safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions. Qualifications (education, experience, skills, personal attributes): B.S. Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering. Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting. In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Solidworks, or other solid modeling software is required. Demonstrated ability in process improvement, metric development, and problem-solving is required. Familiarity with all types of machinery, mechanical equipment, construction material, types of construction methods, and construction equipment is preferred. General knowledge of steel fabrication processes (Welding, CNC milling, facing, etc.) is preferred Familiarity with basic engineering principles and strong mathematical ability is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Detail oriented and analytical. Quick learner and self-motivated; possess ability to promptly accomplish tasks with minimal supervision. Willingness to accept assignments of all types which may include intermittent travel up to 10%. This position is NOT eligible for visa sponsorship.
