CNC Machining, Tooling, Fabrication, Components, PartsPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to improve, document, and scale manufacturing processes for high-quality, cost-effective production. The role focuses on developing and optimizing fabrication, tooling, CNC and machining operations, driving continuous improvement, and supporting new product introductions to meet production, quality, and safety targets.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for parts and assemblies, with emphasis on fabrication, tooling, CNC programming, and machining operations.

Lead process development for new product introductions: create work instructions, process flows, tooling requirements, and validation plans.

Analyze production data and metrics to identify root causes, bottlenecks, and opportunities for yield, throughput, and cost improvements.

Collaborate with engineering, quality, operations, and supply chain to implement process changes, corrective actions, and preventive measures.

Specify and validate tooling, fixtures, jigs, and equipment; work with vendors to procure and qualify tools and machines.

Generate and maintain process documentation including PFMEA, control plans, SOPs, work instructions, and process capability studies.

Support equipment installation, commissioning, and process qualification including first article inspections and process capability verification.

Provide technical support to production teams and troubleshoot process issues on the shop floor, driving corrective actions to resolution.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards; participate in safety and quality audits.

QualificationsBachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.3+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing process engineering with demonstrated experience in fabrication, tooling, CNC, and machining.

Strong understanding of machining processes (milling, turning, EDM), fabrication techniques (welding, sheet metal), and tooling design.

Proficiency with CNC programming concepts and CAM software, and experience working with machine tool vendors and shop-floor personnel.

Experience with process documentation: PFMEA, control plans, process capability analysis (Cp/Cpk), and root cause analysis methods.

Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies; Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Proven ability to drive process improvements that result in measurable quality, cost, or cycle-time savings.

Willingness to spend time on the shop floor and to support occasional travel to vendors or supplier facilities.
