Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Engineer Manufacturing or Engineer Manufacturing. This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in Iuka, MS. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Aerostructures Operations organization.Essential Functions:
The selected candidate will perform the following, including, but not limited to:- Design manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
- Design arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
- Design sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
- Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
- Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigate and initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
- Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques.
- Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
The candidate must:
- Be completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution by August 2026
- Be majoring in or having majored in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar STEM degree
- Be able to obtain and maintain a U.
The candidate must:
- Be completing or has completed their Master's degree from an accredited institution by August 2026 or a completed Bachelors degree and 2 years of related experience.
- Be majoring in or having majored in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar STEM degree.
- Be able to obtain and maintain a U.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher
- Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
Pay Range:
Associate Engineer Manufacturing:
$56,700 to $85,100Engineer Manufacturing:
