Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and driven Principal IT Business Partner with a robust technical background to lead the selection, development, and implementation of innovative manufacturing technologies oriented towards the factory of the future and smart manufacturing. This role combines deep technical expertise in Industry 4.0 with program management skills to enhance operational effectiveness, ensure system reliability, and align with the strategic goals of the organization. •Key Responsibilities•+ Lead the implementation and support of Industry 4.0 technologies, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise systems like ERP, MES, and automation solutions to optimize smart manufacturing processes. + Provide hands-on technical expertise in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced manufacturing systems to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity. + Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to identify system requirements, solve challenges, and ensure technology solutions meet business objectives in a smart manufacturing context. + Manage project lifecycles, including requirement gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support while adhering to quality and timeline goals. + Utilize advanced data analytics tools and methodologies to extract actionable insights from manufacturing data, enabling informed decision-making and process improvements. + Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating best practices into Industry 4.0 solutions and IT strategies. + Provide technical guidance and mentorship to internal teams and serve as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders in driving smart manufacturing initiatives. •
YOU MUST HAVE
•+ 8+ years of IT experience, with a focus on Industry 4.0 implementations, development, and support in manufacturing environments. + Demonstrated expertise in the technical architecture, configuration, and integration of advanced manufacturing technologies with other enterprise systems. + Strong programming and scripting skills (e.g., SQL, Python, or other scripting, low-code/no-code languages) for system customization and data manipulation. + Proficiency in IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, databases, and system interfaces necessary to support Industry 4.0 technologies. + Robust understanding of smart manufacturing technologies, including ERP systems, automation, and data acquisition solutions. + Proven experience in troubleshooting complex technical issues and optimizing performance within Industry 4.0 frameworks. + Strong experience with data management, reporting tools, and analytics platforms to leverage manufacturing data for operational efficiency. •WE VALUE
•+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred. + Hands-on experience in implementing cutting-edge Industry 4.0 technologies such as IoT, machine learning, or AI in alignment with manufacturing platforms. + Certifications in related technologies or platforms such as advanced manufacturing technologies, data analytics tools, or cloud systems. + Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to lead technical teams and manage cross-functional projects effectively. + Solid interpersonal and communication skills to bridge the gap between technical teams and business departments.Similar jobs in Charlotte, NC
