Job Title:
Manufacturing Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to facilitate the timely resolution of problems and issues arising during the manufacturing process. Your role will involve non-conforming material analysis, incomplete manufacturing information, equipment troubleshooting, process change recommendations, and more. You will be instrumental in improving productivity and reducing product costs through thorough analyses and critiques of current operations. Responsibilities Facilitate timely resolution of manufacturing process issues including non-conforming material analysis and equipment problems. Analyze current operations to improve productivity and reduce product costs through time studies or standard data. Critique workstation and plant layouts, tooling, fixtures, equipment, labor, and materials to support management objectives. Perform corporate design agreement changes and analyze required changes for products. Make changes to bills of materials, processes, manpower, tools, supplies, components, and drawings. Schedule introduction with other design agreements and coordinate material changes. Schedule implementation with all supportive documentation. Interface with suppliers to resolve supplier-side industrialization issues. Independently review and create industrial documentation such as standard operating procedures and process/material flow diagrams. Serve as a technical support resource for manufacturing associates, other engineers, and management. Essential Skills Manufacturing process expertise Continuous improvement Lean manufacturing Six Sigma 5-7 years of industry experience Manufacturing experience CNC-based equipment training Experience with MRP system requirements Specific technical knowledge in Fabrication, Mechanical Assembly, and Welding General computer knowledge Goal setting, problem solving, and time management skills Analytical, project management, leadership, and organizational skills In-depth knowledge of process tools & equipment Expert understanding of practices and theoretical concepts Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering Process engineering Process improvement Work Environment Our facility offers a structured, safety-focused, and industrial manufacturing environment where employees produce large-scale, safety-critical escalator systems. The site is the largest escalator manufacturing facility in the U.S., featuring a 155,000-square-foot escalator assembly plant and a 38,000-square-foot escalator step manufacturing facility. Employees work in a high-volume production environment involving assembly, welding, machining, quality inspection, logistics, and engineering support. Experience a hands-on manufacturing environment with defined workstations, standardized processes, and coordination across production teams. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Clinton, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $90000.00/yr. 1.
