Job Summary The PT Engineer in the Production Test (PT) Department supports the development, validation, and maintenance of manufacturing test programs and test environments for both NPI (EVT/DVT) and mass production phases. This role works closely with senior PT engineers, R&D HW/SW teams, Italy PT, and EMS partners to improve yield stability, test efficiency, and production readiness. The position provides hands-on exposure to RF/telecom testing, automated test development, and manufacturing problem solving, offering strong technical growth opportunities within global production environments. Objectives & Responsibilities Develop and maintain automated test programs and test sequences under guidance of senior engineers. Support NPI (EVT/DVT) and mass production builds by executing test validation and release activities. Assist in test architecture and test flow definition for 4G/5G modem products. Debug and improve basic HW/SW issues related to test programs, fixtures, and test stations. Analyze yield and failure data; support root-cause analysis and corrective actions. Execute test optimization activities to reduce test time while maintaining required coverage. Support RF calibration and verification tasks using standard test equipment and vendor tools. Collaborate with EMS factories and internal teams for day-to-day production support. Maintain test documentation, procedures, and version control for released test programs. Participate in continuous improvement activities for test automation and manufacturing efficiency.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. More than 5 years of experience in production test engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related roles. Basic to intermediate programming skills in C/C++ or scripting languages for test automation. Fundamental understanding of RF/telecom concepts (LTE/5G), digital/analog measurements, and test equipment. Experience supporting mass production or pilot production environments. Ability to analyze test failures and communicate issues clearly with senior engineers. Willingness to work closely with EMS factories and cross-functional global teams. Basic English communication skills (reading technical documents and simple discussions). Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting NPI builds (EVT/DVT/PVT) or engineering samples. Exposure to RF calibration flow, modem validation, or production test stations. Hands-on experience with test equipment (e.g., call boxes, power supplies, DMMs). Familiarity with yield analysis tools, SPC concepts, or production dashboards. Strong learning attitude and interest in long-term growth within production test engineering.
