division is currently seeking a Lead Digital Factory Engineer. This role is based at our Fayetteville, NC facility. Relocation assistance will be provided to candidates outside of the 50 mile radius of Fayetteville, NC, but only within the hiring country of US. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. ## What you'll do:Position Overview:
The Lead Digital Factory Engineer will join our Operational Excellence Team and is responsible for driving improvements in efficiency, quality & safety in manufacturing operations through the deployment of appropriate Industry 4.0 tools & technologies such as: augmented reality, factory simulation, process control & traceability, digital work instructions, additive manufacturing, manufacturing execution systems, AI tools, machine connectivity, and data analytics. In this function, you will:- Lead major projects to deploy Industry 4.0 tools & technologies into manufacturing operations through a phase-gate project management process (PROLaunch)
- Collaborate with cross-functional resources to execute projects - Information Technology, Operational Excellence, Production, Quality, Facilities, Engineering
- Guide & support plant teams on machine connectivity & data acquisition activities
- Work as liaison between divisional support teams and plant teams
- Align Industry 4.0 project objectives to continuous improvement initiatives focusing on strategic value streams
- Assist manufacturing teams in the development, submission & approval of business cases for Industry 4.0 project opportunities
- Train key plant personnel on the Industry 4.0 tools & technologies being deployed to ensure successful adoption and achieve improvement objectives
- Develop knowledge & expertise in the Industry 4.0 tools & technologies to be a subject matter expert (SME) for the deployment sites and teams
- Lead Industry 4.0 "Technology Councils" for assigned areas of digital factory
- Work within cross-regional Electrical Sector groups to develop standard practices for assigned areas of digital factory #LI-LD1 ##
Qualifications:
Required (Basic)Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Science, or a related technical field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, process engineering, or automation

- Previous manager of people or supervisor experience.
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering (Operational Excellence; Lean Manufacturing; Continuous Improvement)
- Experience in controls engineering, programming, additive manufacturing, digital twin, big data & analytics
- Manufacturing system experience (MES, warehousing or related systems)
- Understanding of machine connectivity, communication protocols & data management
- Understanding of IT infrastructure & system integration
- Proficient with computer and software tools - including advanced Excel capabilities (pivots, macros, etc.) and Power BI
- Expertise in lean manufacturing & Six Sigma ##
Skills:
Position Success Criteria :
- Knowledge of Industrial IoT concepts & solutions
- Demonstrated project management experience, including risk management & change management
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment; to communicate effectively and professionally across many organizational levels and functions and effectively build rapport with stakeholders
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as fabrication, assembly & test, as well as materials management and quality processes
- Proven problem-solving capability
- Ability to act as an agent of change, driving and enabling process change
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles & tools
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Takes initiative to develop personally and professional and actively seeks ways to grow and be challenged
