Job Description

job summary: A Machine Safety Engineer / Controls Engineer is needed for a leading manufacturing organization outside of Greensboro, NC. The Machine Safety Engineer will oversee and audit our Safety Control Systems to ensure strict compliance with
OSHA, ISO
13849, and
ANSI B11
standards. In this role, you will predominantly review and modify Safety PLC logic and electrical schematics while managing third-party validation vendors from a technical level. Candidates must be prepared for a dynamic manufacturing environment, including 30% overtime and up to 10% travel. Qualified candidates must hold a Functional Safety Certification such as TÜV FSE or equivalent alongside an associate's degree or higher in a technical discipline. You need 5+ years of functional safety and PLC programming experience within the industrial automation sector, including the ability to read, modify, and configure logic. Additionally, flexibility to support weekend shifts, holidays, and bi-annual scheduled shutdowns is required. This is a long-term contract role and our client is only seeking local talent currently.
