Job Description

CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client is seeking a Mechanical Project Lead III to oversee engineering projects, manage installations, and coordinate vendors/contractors from planning through execution. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead full lifecycle equipment integration (design → install → commissioning → handoff) Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, facilities, automation, quality) Manage equipment vendors, including FAT/SAT, installation, and acceptance Oversee startup, debugging, and performance optimization of manufacturing equipment Ensure alignment with facility systems, utilities, and production processes Drive root cause analysis and resolve technical issues during deployment Track project timelines, budgets, and risks; communicate status to stakeholders Support training and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications:
Experience in optical fiber, cable manufacturing, or advanced manufacturing Knowledge of
FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ
validation processes Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma certification PMP or project management certification Experience with CMMS or ERP systems
