Design Engineer

HTI is seeking a highly detail-oriented and technically strong Design Engineer responsible for the development of new products, as well as supporting design upgrades and updates to existing products and equipment for a global leader in industrial furnace manufacturing in Pineville, NC. This opportunity is with an organization that prides itself on being "people focused" while ensuring a positive and safe environment. This position is Direct Hire , Onsite , M-F 1st shift . The pay range is $90,000 - $100,000 depending on experience.

A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering ( or related field ). 5-10 years of experience in machine or highly complex mechanical design — systems engineering or multi-discipline project experience is highly preferred. Mastery of SolidWorks. AutoCAD experience is a perk . A sharp, inventive mind with a knack for detail and juggling multiple projects. Passion for tackling technical challenges and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

What Your Role Will Look Like:

The Design Engineer role will focus on developing and refining complex industrial systems with a strong emphasis on precision, execution, and technical ownership. If you thrive on solving detailed engineering challenges and enjoy working hands-on through the full design process, this is an opportunity to make a significant impact. Engineer high-performance industrial furnace systems, including components operating in extreme high-temperature environments and specialized materials. Design and develop vacuum systems and industrial equipment, ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability. Break down complex assemblies into structured sub-assemblies and detailed components to support production and scalability. Perform and/or validate engineering calculations and analysis (thermal, structural, and fluid systems) to support design decisions. Develop detailed 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and manufacturing to move designs from concept through full execution. Identify and resolve technical challenges by digging into details and ensuring all aspects of the design are thoroughly vetted. Support continuous improvement efforts by refining existing designs and optimizing system performance. About HTI Human Technologies, Inc.
