JOB SUMMARY
As a Quality Engineer
  • Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement in Valley City, ND , you will: Serve as an active member of an onsite Quality team, participating in team meetings, Quality Improvement Teams (QITs), and daily floor engagement Analyze quality data to monitor performance trends and identify improvement opportunities Support development of dashboards and visual tools to communicate key quality metrics Report and interpret critical metrics such as Warranty Fails Per Machine (FPM) and Factory Defects Per Machine (DPM) Provide quality support to manufacturing operations, including identifying and driving Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives Update, refine, and maintain process documentation aligned with the Quality Management System Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality technicians to investigate issues and implement corrective actions Support work direction or coordination for Quality Technicians as needed Prepare status updates summarizing completed work, billed hours, and any issues impacting progress Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners Contribute to projects that impact communities in Jamestown, Fargo, West Fargo, Casselton, Tower City, Oriska, Barnesville, Lisbon, Enderlin, Cooperstown, Dazey, and Kathryn, and the greater Fargo-Moorhead metro area Apply your skills in a dynamic environment that values ownership and innovation
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering Entry‑level candidates considered; 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred Strong skills in root cause analysis and structured problem‑solving Ability to analyze quality data and interpret performance metrics Experience supporting manufacturing operations or quality processes Strong communication skills for reporting, cross‑functional collaboration, and floor engagement Ability to update and maintain process documentation Comfortable working in a fast‑paced production environment with hands‑on involvement Organized and able to provide clear status updates on work progress and project needs
