Job Description
Your Job Molex is looking for a motivated Automation Manufacturing Engineer to join our Lincoln Automation Team. This position involves working within an innovative and globally collaborative team located at Molex's Lincoln, Nebraska, manufacturing plant. You will be developing and troubleshooting advanced assembly processes for our transportation solutions division. The ideal candidate will be proactive and bring a diverse set of experiences. Our Team The Transportation Solutions Business Unit (TSBU) at Molex focuses on delivering innovative and high-quality electrical and electronic interconnect solutions specifically for the automotive and transportation industries. TSBU partners closely with leading automotive part suppliers and OEMs to develop cutting-edge products and systems that support powertrain, body electronics, safety and infotainment applications. The division plays a critical role in advancing vehicle connectivity, reliability, and performance by leveraging technical expertise and strong industry partnerships. What You Will Do
- Troubleshoot/debug automated equipment, tooling, and machine function
- Support machine concept/design with manufacturing feedback
- Improve processes based on operator/maintenance/production needs
- Help commission and optimize new automation/processes
- Visit vendors and global manufacturing sites as needed Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Associate's degree or higher in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or completion of a relevant trade school program
- Experience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
- Demonstrated hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving experience
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20-30% of the time What Will Put You Ahead
- Machine design/build experience (automation or special machines) This position does not qualify for VISA Sponsorship.
