Job Title:
Manufacturing Engineer Job Description The Manufacturing/Process Engineer is responsible for designing, qualifying, and continuously improving manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role involves developing and maintaining APQP documentation, leading process and equipment implementations, supporting lean initiatives, and collaborating with production, planning, and leadership teams to align manufacturing capacity with customer demand. Additionally, the position supports capital planning, cost justification, and upholds all quality, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and company core values. Responsibilities Design, qualify, and improve manufacturing processes for efficiency and safety. Develop and maintain Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) documentation. Lead the implementation of new processes and equipment. Support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement activities. Collaborate with production, planning, and leadership to align manufacturing capacity with customer demand. Assist with capital planning and cost justification efforts. Ensure compliance with quality standards and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering. 3+ years of experience in leading continuous improvement activities. Proficiency in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA). Experience with Lean Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in quality engineering, industrial engineering, and process improvement. Knowledge of time studies and process flow. Ability to create and follow work instructions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/hr.
