Job Description

Only qualified "Engineering Intern" candidates located near the Columbus Nebraska area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presenceEducation
  • High school diploma or Equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Engineering preferred
  • Candidates should have completed their sophomore year in an engineering program, preferredRequired Experience
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be currently pursuing or possess a degree in Engineering
  • Must be available to work a minimum of eight continuous weeks
  • Willingness to work in manufacturing environments requiredPreferred Experience
  • Manufacturing industrial automation or fabrication experience preferred
  • Engineering project or technical internship exposure preferred
  • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis exposure preferredTech Skills
  • SolidWorks experience preferred
  • AutoCAD experience preferred
  • Ability to apply technical classroom knowledge to real world applications
  • Ability to read write and communicate in EnglishSoft Skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently after training
  • Willingness to learn and ask questions
  • Ability to support fast paced manufacturing operations
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality requiredResponsibilities
  • Support manufacturing operations in a fast paced production environment
  • Assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities
  • Work with engineering mentors on project assignments
  • Apply classroom knowledge to real world engineering tasks
  • Support projects both inside and outside normal coursework experience
  • Assist with process improvement and operational support tasks
  • Complete assigned projects and deliverables successfully
  • Follow safety quality and company proceduresSchedule
  • Monday through Friday
  • 1st shift with flexible 7AM or 8AM start time
  • 8 hour shifts
  • Summer internship running through August
