Job Description

USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub app Interns will assist with research and industrial projects in advanced manufacturing. This internship provides hands-on experience with state-of-the-art equipment and real-world engineering challenges. Interns will collaborate with industry professionals, faculty, and graduate students to support experimental design, data collection, project validation, and technical documentation. Duties/Responsibilities Assist in designing prototypes and conducting manufacturing experiments. Collect and analyze data from material testing and process monitoring systems. Work with CAD and CAM software for part design and toolpath generation. Operate lab equipment, ensuring safety and proper usage. Prepare technical reports and presentations to document findings. Collaborate with team members on project tasks and research objectives. Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled in a high school, undergraduate, or graduate program with an interest in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar) is preferred. Basic understanding of machining, welding, or additive manufacturing processes is a plus. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented research environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation Pay Range:
