About Our Client Our client is a well-established manufacturer of engineered heating and thermal systems serving commercial and industrial markets. Known for producing highly specialized equipment, they are investing in operational excellence, process modernization, and continuous improvement across their manufacturing operations. This role offers the opportunity to directly influence plant performance, support new product introductions, and lead meaningful process improvements in a growing production environment. About the Role Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to play a key role in driving plant efficiency, process optimization, and operational excellence. This individual will partner closely with production, quality, maintenance, and design engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes, launch new products, and support capital equipment initiatives. This is a highly visible role for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on engineering with strategic continuous improvement projects. You'll be responsible for identifying inefficiencies, implementing process changes, and leading projects that improve safety, quality, throughput, and overall manufacturing performance. Projects You'll Work On Leading Lean manufacturing initiatives to improve productivity, reduce scrap, and increase operational efficiency Supporting new product launches by developing and refining manufacturing processes Reviewing part prints and collaborating on design-for-manufacturability improvements Evaluating and implementing new manufacturing technologies and equipment Managing capital equipment projects, including supplier selection, cost analysis, and ROI justification Creating and standardizing process documentation including SOPs, PFMEA, control plans, and process flow diagrams Partnering with quality teams to strengthen process controls and product consistency Driving root cause analysis efforts and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurring production issues Supporting day-to-day plant operations to ensure production teams meet KPI targets What Experience You Should Bring Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline 3-8 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong understanding of manufacturing engineering principles, Lean tools, and continuous improvement methodologies Experience leading Kaizen events and process improvement projects Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SolidWorks Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills Ability to influence teams and drive projects across departments without direct authority Excellent communication skills and the ability to present technical recommendations clearly
