We are looking for a hands-on Plant Engineer who enjoys solving complex puzzles and driving real-world results. You won't just be sitting behind a desk; you will be the technical heartbeat of our facility, working with cutting-edge automation to keep our high-speed production lines running at peak performance. If you are passionate about Allen-Bradley systems, data integration, and mentoring maintenance teams, we want to talk to you.
Your Impact Drive Automation:
Lead the development and optimization of Allen-Bradley PLC systems (Studio 5000) and FactoryTalk
HMI/SCADA
platforms.
Solve Problems:
Act as the "Level 2" technical expert, partnering with maintenance to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues that stump the standard fixes.
Own Projects:
Take the lead on engineering projects from initial concept and budgeting to final commissioning and vendor management.
Bridge Data & Production:
Use SQL and Ignition SCADA to turn machine data into actionable insights, helping us move toward a more digital, predictive manufacturing environment.
Promote Excellence:
Ensure a safe, high-quality work environment by adhering to OSHA and food safety standards.
What You Bring Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent technical experience).
Technical Core:
5+ years in a manufacturing/plant environment with heavy experience in RSLogix/Studio 5000 .
System Knowledge:
Proven experience with FactoryTalk; familiarity with Ignition SCADA and SQL is a major plus.
Project Leadership:
A track record of managing capital projects or equipment upgrades on time and within budget.
Collaborative Mindset:
You enjoy teaching others and can translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. #Tech2026 Preferred Skills Experience in high-speed packaging or food manufacturing. Background in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. Familiarity with predictive maintenance tools and data-driven reliability. The Fine Print (Requirements) Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Strong diagnostic and "root cause" analytical skills. Commitment to safety and quality excellence. Why this version is better for
Indeed:
Humanized Language:
I changed "Utilize SQL to extract data" to "Bridge Data & Production." It makes the task sound purposeful rather than robotic. Removed "Maintenance Support"
Red Flags:
In the original, it sounded like the engineer might be doing the maintenance team's job. I reframed it as being the "Level 2 technical expert," which clarifies that you are there for expertise, not just to turn wrenches when someone calls out.
Scannability:
Used bolding for key software (Studio 5000, SQL) so candidates scanning on mobile can see immediately if they are a match. "Why Join Us": This is crucial on Indeed. Candidates want to know the "vibe" before they read the chores.
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
Benefits:
401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance
Experience:
PLC Programming:
5 years (Required) Rockwell FactoryTalk
HMI/SCADA
systems: 2 years (Required)
