Job Description

Manufacturing Process Engineer We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join the Production Engineering team at a leading manufacturing facility in Blauvelt, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting daily operations, optimizing manufacturing processes, improving workflow efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and engineering leadership to support production goals, quality standards, and long-term operational excellence. PM Compensation:
$36.06-$45.67/hour (based on experience) Key Responsibilities Daily Production Support Provide hands-on support to daily production activities. Conduct PFMEA reviews and lead process troubleshooting. Manage and revise manufacturing process documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Ensure effective ECN (Engineering Change Notice) processes and documentation flow. Process & Continuous Improvement Lead and implement Continuous Improvement (CI) projects across the production floor. Apply Lean tools—5S, Kaizen, waste elimination—to enhance workflow and reduce cycle time. Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to support data-driven improvement. Develop and optimize process mapping, material flow, and standard work documentation. Technical Engineering Support Provide manufacturing design support using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Support development of visual factory tools, work instructions, and process flows. Conduct time studies, root cause analysis (RCCA), and corrective action implementation using 5 Why, Fishbone, and 8D methods. Safety, Ergonomics & Quality Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and ergonomic assessments. Partner with Quality Engineering to enhance product and process quality through data-driven analysis. Project & NPD (New Product Development) Support Support major capital projects (CARA) from justification through implementation. Collaborate on NPD initiatives from engineering validation to production validation. Ensure alignment of project milestones and manufacturing readiness. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering , or a related field. 5+ years of experience in Production, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering (7-10 years preferred). Strong knowledge of manufacturing process improvement, process management, and workflow optimization . Hands-on experience with SolidWorks (required) and AutoCAD. Proven experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Demonstrated ability in time studies, process flow analysis, and continuous improvement. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with material flow analysis. Previous experience creating or revising work instructions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Blauvelt, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $45.67/hr.
