Job Description

For more than 60 years, Data Device Corporation (DDC) has been recognized as a world leader in the design and manufacture of high-reliability Connectivity, Power, and Control solutions for the Aerospace, Defense, and Space industries. This position is 100% onsite at our Bohemia, NY office. Salary Range for this position is $20.00- $22.00 hourly, depending on experience. This position requires a U.S Person or a person who can qualify for a Department of State or Department of Commerce License.
Position Summary:
This internship provides hands-on experience within DDC's Manufacturing Engineering Organization, supporting process development, Test Engineering, Data Analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Position Accountabilities:
Support the setup and implementation of a new Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) manufacturing line, including process profiling, and documentation. Assist in developing and updating work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOP's), and manufacturing documentation. Support testing and evaluation of new materials and processes. Assist with Test Engineering data collection, organization, analysis, and reporting. Support productivity and continuous improvement initiatives. Assist with programming, setup, validation, and documentation of manufacturing and test equipment including Automation, Pick and Place, Optical Inspection, and Wire Bonding Equipment. Document process development activities, test results, and equipment qualifications. Collaborate with Process, Manufacturing, and Test Engineering Teams.
Qualifications:
Sophomore standing or above in pursuit of a bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Basic engineering and electrical knowledge. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and techniques. Strong organizational and time management skills. Basic technical writing and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a manufacturing environment.
