Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking a motivated Controls Engineer to support automotive propulsion and engine assembly operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on supporting, developing, and troubleshooting plant floor control systems including PLCs, robotics, vision systems, and automated equipment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, adaptable, and thrives in a high-energy production environment where quick thinking and problem-solving are essential. This position plays a key role in ensuring equipment uptime, process stability, and continuous improvement within engine assembly operations. Key Responsibilities Support and troubleshoot manufacturing control systems on the production floor Program, modify, and maintain Siemens PLC and HMI systems Work with Rockwell Automation platforms , including global/common control standards Support and integrate robotic systems , including Fanuc robots and collaborative robots (cobots) Assist with installation, commissioning, and optimization of automation equipment and test systems Support vision systems including Cognex AI, Dalsa, and Matrox camera technologies Troubleshoot and support AMR systems (OTTO, Bastian automated fork trucks) Provide hands-on support for engine assembly and propulsion-related manufacturing systems Work directly on the manufacturing floor , responding quickly to equipment issues and downtime events Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to improve system performance Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and throughput Document changes, updates, and system modifications according to plant standards Required Qualifications Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field ( Bachelor's preferred ) 5-7 years of controls, automation, or manufacturing engineering experience (flexible for strong candidates with less experience) Experience working in a manufacturing plant environment (on-the-floor, hands-on role) Basic understanding of: PLCs and HMI systems Machine controls (robotics, instrumentation, or test systems) Industrial automation principles Strong problem-solving ability in fast-paced environments Ability to stand, walk, and actively support production floor operations throughout the day Preferred Experience (Not Required) Siemens

PLC / HMI

Pay:

$42.00 - $56.00 per hour
