Full-time, potential overtime as needed We are seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer for a long-term project supporting automotive manufacturing operations in the Buffalo, NY area. This role is ideal for someone with strong GM Process Engineering experience , a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering background, and hands-on experience with process improvement, equipment buy-off/validation, PFMEA, and failure analysis . This is a long-term contract opportunity expected to run 12 months or longer . Candidates should be comfortable working onsite and supporting manufacturing process improvements, equipment validation, and production-related engineering activities. Responsibilities Develop, support, and improve manufacturing processes in an automotive production environment Perform process evaluations and implement improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and repeatability Support equipment installation, startup, buy-off, and validation activities Conduct PFMEA analysis to identify potential process failures and develop corrective actions Investigate production issues and perform failure analysis/root cause analysis Analyze manufacturing data to support process optimization and quality improvements Document process parameters, validation results, process changes, and engineering updates Work with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to improve production performance Requirements Previous GM Process Engineering experience required Background in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline Experience with process improvement in a manufacturing environment Experience with equipment buy-off and validation Experience with PFMEA and failure analysis Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred Experience supporting equipment installation, commissioning, or startup preferred Must be able to work onsite in the Buffalo, NY area Must be eligible to work in an ITAR-regulated environment Preferred Experience Experience working directly with GM or supporting GM projects through an integrator Experience with automotive production lines Experience with process control methods and production metrics Experience troubleshooting manufacturing defects or process failure points Experience documenting validation results and engineering changes Job Disclaimer Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
