EnerSys Advanced Systems (EAS) is a specialized division of EnerSys—a global leader in stored energy solutions for industrial applications. Learn More About EASJob Purpose The Manufacturing Engineer at Bren-Tronics, part of EnerSys is responsible for supporting production operations through process implementation and improvement, documentation, equipment optimization, and ensuring product quality and safety. This role works closely with operations, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain compliance with internal and external standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput. Support day to day production activities by troubleshooting process issues and providing technical guidance. Function as liaison between Manufacturing and Engineering to smoothly transition newly designed products to production. Create and update work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures. Provide training to production operators to fully comply with work instructions, quality standards and engineering requirements, as needed. Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and root cause analysis activities. Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and equipment improvements to enhance production capability and operator safety. Analyze production data to identify trends, process bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities. Monitor rework and repair operations, consistently monitor and report yield issues, and regularly highlight significant findings. Conduct failure analysis, identify root causes, and pursue effective solutions to minimize in-process defects. Support equipment maintenance, calibration, and layout planning for efficient workflow. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications 3+ years in Manufacturing Engineering role, defense Manufacturing industry, strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles, quality systems, and process control. Strong teamwork and collaboration with various groups both internal and external. Excellent communication, written and verbal skills with cross functional teams. Strong problem solving skills and ability to lead root cause and corrective action efforts. Proficient with CAD software, SolidWorks a plus. Compensation Range:
$75,000 to $90,000 per year.Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set.
