Job Description

Sportsfield Specialties, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer for its Delhi, NY division who will be responsible for executing detailed design and drafting tasks in support of sales requests and production needs. Responsibilities/Duties include but are not limited to: Design and develop 3D models and drawings for custom product requests in the sports construction design space. Specify and design components, sub-assemblies, hardware, and bill of materials (BOM) for projects of varying scales with support from senior staff. Create and maintain accurate BOMs and part set ups within ERP (Epicor). Contribute to internal continuous improvement initiatives via modeling and drafting support. Coordinate with production staff to clarify design intent and resolve shop-floor issues. Learn and follow established design standards and documentation practices. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Skills:
Excellent work ethic within a team-first environment. Must have attention to detail with high quality output. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel. Familiar with ERP systems a plus. Familiar with Steel and Aluminum Fabrication and Machining processes a plus. Familiar with CAD Software (SolidWorks and /or AutoCAD preferred).
Experience/Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related discipline. 0-2 years of experience in design, drafting or fabrication. Entry level I and mid-career level II positions available.
