Job Title Co-op-Manufacturing Engineering-Latham, NY-August-December 2026 Job Description Are you interested in a co-op opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in paid opportunities at our site in Latham. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company.
Your role:
Assist in the design, assembly, and testing of cryogenic systems and superconducting magnets. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues related to cryogenic and superconducting systems. Collaborate with engineers and scientists to develop and implement design solutions. Conduct experiments and tests to evaluate the performance and reliability of prototypes. Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements. You're the right fit if: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, biomedical engineering, Electrical Engineering or other engineering Hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, setting up and executing test protocols. Knowledge of safety protocols and standards in a lab environment Experience with 3D modeling and other engineering tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Your skills include an understanding of mechanical systems and experience in designing mechanical assemblies. Hands on building skills are preferred. Your skills include an understanding of thermal systems, heat transfer, cryogenics, or vacuum systems. You understand basic circuits and have developed circuits or programmed controllers to solve an engineering problem. You have experience working with teams to solve complex engineering problems. You have good attention to detail on documentation and have experience writing technical documents. You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Bachelor Level:
$25 - 29 an hour: Masters Level $33-$45 an hour plus overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
