Manufacturing Engineer - Supplier Quality

Position Summary As we continue to scale, P1 is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supplier Quality Engineer to help strengthen and develop the performance of our external supply base. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer who is eager to learn, take ownership, and build systems alongside a growing team. You will work closely with internal teams and suppliers to support supplier qualification, ensure quality and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement. This role offers hands-on exposure to supplier development, quality systems, and manufacturing operations, with the opportunity to grow into a key contributor in how we manage and elevate supplier performance. We are looking for someone who is curious, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, hands-on environment - someone who can represent P1 well with suppliers while building the structure and discipline needed to scale. Responsibilities Support supplier qualification, onboarding, and ongoing performance to ensure alignment with P1 and customer requirements Participate in supplier audits and visits, assessing capabilities, processes, and quality systems Review and validate supplier documentation (MTRs, C of Cs, certifications) and perform incoming inspection to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications Assist with production process validation activities (FAI, PPAP) and support root cause investigations and corrective actions Partner cross-functionally to identify risks, resolve issues, and improve supplier quality and delivery performance Contribute to building and improving supplier quality processes, using Lean principles to drive continuous improvement Build strong, professional relationships with suppliers while representing P1 with credibility and accountability Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience 2-3 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality, or a related technical role Experience working within a Quality Management System (ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar) Exposure to or familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles Familiarity with root cause analysis methods (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow through and close out tasks in a fast-paced environment Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and represent P1 in supplier-facing interactions Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and a desire to learn and grow within a manufacturing environment Ability to travel up to 25%

Pay:

$65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
