Job Description :
We are seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support Axle Assembly operations in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for improving safety, quality, and productivity by analyzing manufacturing processes, solving production issues, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on optimizing assembly operations, supporting equipment launches, reducing process variation, and ensuring manufacturing standards are met. Key Responsibilities Support manufacturing process engineering activities for axle assembly Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity Analyze and improve manufacturing processes using engineering and problem-solving techniques Lead projects involving equipment delivery, installation, and commissioning Conduct process audits to ensure compliance with operational standards and guidelines Perform ergonomic evaluations and implement corrective actions as needed Investigate root causes of inventory and reject issues and drive corrective actions Create and maintain process documentation and work instruction sheets Support assembly operations by delivering capable processes and tools Lead resolution of machining and process-related concerns Drive lean manufacturing and variability reduction initiatives Ensure compliance with plant, corporate, environmental, and governmental standards Identify throughput constraints and implement improvements to meet production targets Required Qualifications 5+ years of manufacturing process engineering experience Experience in manufacturing/process engineering within a production environment Strong background in: Process Validation Lean Manufacturing Manufacturing Engineering Process Engineering Problem Solving Good Manufacturing Practices Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills Ability to demonstrate leadership and effectively support plant operations High School Diploma or GED required Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field Experience with assembly lines and automotive manufacturing processes Experience with PPAP, FMEA, DOE, Gauge R&R, and capability studies Understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodologies Equipment launch and project management experience Experience working with axles or other automotive components Knowledge of ergonomic analysis Familiarity with Visual Factory Management Why Join Us?
