Job Description:
The Cleveland Steel Tool Company is a privately held family manufacturing company located in Cleveland, OH. We have been in business for 118 years and serve the structural steel, construction, truck frame, farm implement and repair/maintenance industries. We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer for a new position. The successful candidate will drive improvements in our processes including machining techniques, routings, measurement, general plant, and workflow. He or she will manage our lean and 5S initiatives. This position is 100% in office.
Process Engineer Responsibilities include:
Utilizes SolidWorks to create new or updated designs of punches, dies, blades, and other products and assemblies. Optimizes productivity by designing, implementing, and testing new routing methods, machining techniques, inspection methods and fixturing. Tracks metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor upgrades. Manages Item Master within ERP system and creates routings and BOM for new and updated products. • Interface with other departments to address and resolve customer issues. Drives ongoing Lean, 5S and Safety initiatives. Assists with ISO, Quality, and inspection programs. Contributes to departmental efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Qualifications include:
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems. Attention to detail at all levels. Demonstrated proficiency in SolidWorks. Experience and knowledge of MasterCam. Strong time management skills with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and work independently. Proficient with computer and information technology. CNC programing and robotics experience a plus. A candidate with ISO, SPC, and Lean expertise would be ideal. Education /
Experience:
AS/AA or BS/BA with experience in a related engineering field is preferred but not required. Previous experience as a Process Engineer, Designer or Draftsman in a manufacturing environment. Hands on machine shop experience is a plus. All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Salary commensurate with experience; very competitive benefits package
