Job Description:
CapEx Engineer (Capital Projects Engineer) LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a CapEx Engineer to support capital investment projects for a growing manufacturing organization. This individual will play a key role in planning, executing, and optimizing capital expenditures, ensuring alignment with operational and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
Lead capital project execution from concept through completion, including scope development, budgeting, and scheduling Evaluate and justify capital expenditures through ROI analysis and business case development Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to identify equipment and process improvement opportunities Manage vendor selection, equipment procurement, and contractor coordination Oversee installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements Monitor project budgets and timelines, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes through capital investment initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) 7+ years of experience supporting capital projects in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of capital budgeting, cost analysis, and project justification Experience managing equipment installations and process improvements Familiarity with manufacturing systems, automation, and process design Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ERP systems and capital planning tools Background in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Experience supporting multi-site or large-scale manufacturing operations
