Job Description General Motors is looking for an experienced Execution Engineer to join our team in Defiance, Ohio. In this role, you will help bring manufacturing processes to life by supporting the design, launch, and continuous improvement of vehicle part production. You will work across engineering, plant operations, and launch teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing solutions in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do Lead and support the design, development, and integration of manufacturing processes for vehicle parts. Drive process improvements focused on safety, quality, throughput, and cost. Support equipment installation, startup, debug, and run-at-rate activities for new and existing programs. Partner with product engineering to ensure manufacturability is built into the design process. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to improve plant performance. Support launch activities, plant tryouts, production trial runs, and validation efforts. Manage engineering changes, work orders, and production readiness requirements. Develop process documentation, work instructions, and training materials. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, plant personnel, OEM partners, and skilled trades to deliver technical solutions. Support GMS, safety systems, audits, and contractor safety management activities. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related engineering field. Experience designing, developing, or integrating manufacturing processes in a production environment. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience with process troubleshooting, equipment startup, and manufacturing launch support. Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environment. Ability to travel up to 10%. Preferred Qualifications Experience in automotive manufacturing, foundry, or automation environments. Familiarity with GMS or a similar manufacturing system. Experience supporting production trials, validation activities, and engineering change processes. GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
