Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Project Manager to lead and support process improvement initiatives and engineering projects within our operations . The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing manufacturing processes, with a strong focus on cost-efficiency, quality, and timely project delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design, analyze, and optimize processes for operations, including laser cutting, punching, forming, welding, and finishing.
  • Develop robust process flows and technical documentation to support production scalability and repeatability.
  • Lead technical projects from concept through implementation by defining project scope and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Provide day-to-day engineering support to the production floor, troubleshoot process issues, and ensure technical integrity.
  • Analyze bottlenecks and lead root cause investigations, implementing corrective actions with measurable impact.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to review part designs and drawings, ensuring they are optimized for processes.
  • Contribute to product development by advising on material selection, tolerance stack-ups, and fabrication constraints.
  • Design and engineer custom tooling, jigs, and fixtures to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, including standard work instructions, control plans, PFMEAs, and technical reports.
  • Research and propose new technologies, automation solutions, and capital equipment that align with company goals.
  • Ensure all processes and documentation adhere to internal standards and external regulations (e.
g., ISO 9001, OSHA). The above declarations represent a general outline of the duties and responsibilities of this position. Duties may be added or subtracted as business conditions or other circumstances require.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in process or project engineering, preferably in sheet metal fabrication or related manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of metalworking processes, including laser cutting, CNC punching, press brake forming, welding, and finishing.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with automation integration (e.g., robotic welding, material handling systems).
  • Certification in PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
