In this role, you will take a lead technical position, managing sub-designers, solving complex engineering problems, and collaborating directly with high-profile customers. What You Will Do (Essential Duties):
Primary Design & Strategy:
Lead the total design execution of custom tooling solutions for manufacturing complex composite structures.
Advanced Engineering:
Utilize
CATIA V5
for tooling design and surfacing, and perform advanced mechanical engineering calculations.
Collaborative Leadership:
Lead design reviews and communicate directly with customers and suppliers to resolve technical issues and secure project approvals.
Project Management:
Manage large technical projects, coordinate supporting engineers/design firms, and multi-task across several projects at once.
Standards & Quality:
Help develop engineering standards to ensure the consistent development of high-quality products. What We Are Looking For (Qualifications):
Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
6 to 8 years of related experience using 3D CAD software, with a minimum of 3 years of
CATIA V5
experience .
Technical Skills:
High proficiency in GD&T (in accordance with
ASME Y14.5 2009
) and basic knowledge of
CATIA V5 FEA.
Industry Knowledge:
Experience with composites and resin injection processes is highly desired.
Soft Skills:
Strong systematic problem-solving abilities, excellent verbal/written communication, and negotiation/conflict resolution skills.
Software:
Proficient in MS Office Suite (including Microsoft Project) and Outlook.
Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship, a negative drug screen, and a favorable background check.
Travel:
Ability to travel between 2% - 15%.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Must be comfortable spending 3 to 4 hours per day at a PC performing design work. Occasional lifting/moving of up to 50 pounds (with knowledge of assist devices for larger items). Ability to work safely in a manufacturing facility with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, moderate noise, and standard manufacturing elements. Why Apply Through PrideStaff?
