Job Description:
Smart4Chemicals are recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Engineer for a leading manufacturing business based in Gainesville, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CI professional to drive operational excellence initiatives, lead Lean Six Sigma projects, and support site-wide performance improvements within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As the Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to identify improvement opportunities, implement best practice CI methodologies, and deliver measurable efficiency and cost-saving results across the site. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate Continuous Improvement activities across the manufacturing site Identify, scope, prioritise, and deliver CI projects focused on productivity, waste reduction, quality improvement, and operational efficiency Develop and maintain KPI dashboards aligned with site and business objectives Coach and mentor engineers, supervisors, and operators on Lean Six Sigma methodologies and CI best practices Drive the implementation of CI tools including Kaizen, DMAIC, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Lean Manufacturing principles Conduct Lean Six Sigma assessments and develop action plans to address operational gaps Track project progress, deliverables, and performance improvements across departments Support operator training and continuous development initiatives Partner with Quality Assurance and Production teams to improve manufacturing processes and ensure robust, cost-effective operations Promote a strong continuous improvement culture across the site Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline Minimum 5 years' Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing experience within a chemical, food, or manufacturing environment Strong working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies Experience leading CI projects in a manufacturing environment with measurable business impact Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Black Belt certification preferred Benefits Competitive salary package Medical, Dental & Vision coverage 401(k) with company match and retirement savings plan Paid vacation and holiday allowance Opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives
