Direct Hire A growing engineering organization is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in hydraulic system design. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering, collaborative problem-solving, and contributing to the full lifecycle of custom hydraulic equipment used in demanding industrial environments. Responsibilities Design, develop, and integrate hydraulic systems and components for industrial and mobile applications. Create 2D/3D models for hydraulic components and systems using SolidWorks. Develop product designs from concept through release. Prepare fabrication drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation. Support project documentation and reporting. Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to meet project requirements. Conduct field visits or site verifications as needed. Design hydraulic systems for power units and actuator controls. Apply manufacturing knowledge to optimize designs for production. Assist production teams with build and testing challenges. Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare test procedures, manuals, and other technical documents. Support field installation, testing, and commissioning. Use Microsoft Office for communication and documentation. Ensure drawings comply with industry standards and project guidelines. Interpret sketches, layouts, and specifications accurately. Maintain organized drawing files and documentation. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Technology. 4-7 years of experience with hydraulic, industrial, or mobile equipment systems. Proficiency in SolidWorks, PDM, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office. Strong understanding of manufacturing tolerances and assembly drawings. Ability to read and create hydraulic schematics in AutoCAD. Hands-on experience with hydraulic system design for industrial or mobile equipment preferred. Experience with electro-hydraulic assemblies is beneficial. Understanding of mechanical and hydraulic technical specifications. Familiarity with explosion-proof or hazardous-location standards (UL, CSA, IEC) is a plus.
