Job Title:
Manufacturing Test Engineer Job Description Join our team as a Manufacturing Test Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of test systems for electrical and control subsystems across our robotic product lines. You will be responsible for building and implementing automated test solutions for embedded hardware to enhance efficiency, traceability, and test coverage. You will collaborate daily with design, systems, firmware, and manufacturing teams to ensure the testability and manufacturability of our products. Responsibilities Develop and maintain test systems for electrical and control subsystems. Implement automated test solutions for embedded hardware. Collaborate with design, systems, firmware, and manufacturing teams. Analyze test data to detect issues and drive root cause investigations. Support new product introduction by creating scalable test strategies. Maintain and update documentation for test equipment, processes, and protocols. Mentor junior engineers and technicians. Continuously improve test practices and tools. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 5-7+ years of relevant experience. Experience in ECAD (Altium preferred) for interpreting electrical schematics. Experience in designing and deploying test fixtures from a hardware standpoint. Experience with PCB/hardware design for products. Familiarity with complex hardware-based electro-mechanical systems. Proficiency in embedded firmware and software testing. Knowledge of protocols such as i2c, spi, uart, can bus, and ethercat. Experience with test framework, test fixture, and database management. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES). Familiarity with test result databases and statistical process control (SPC). Exposure to safety-critical product development and regulatory compliance standards. Experience in robotics or highly integrated mechatronic systems. Work Environment This position requires working on-site 5 days a week, with the potential for flexibility in the future. The work environment is split 50/50 between a lab/manufacturing floor and an office setting. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, including the development of our next-generation V5 robot. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albany, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $67.31/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
