  • Full-time Rapidly expanding manufacturing operation in the Canby/Hubbard area seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to join its growing team.
The company manufacturers precision building materials used in semiconductor cleanrooms and is positioned to double (at least) in size over the next year. There are plans to move into a large facility in the same general area (canby, wilsonville, hubbard, etc) within the next year and this role will be heavily involved in the planning of this facility upgrade, including factory layout, etc. Exciting opportunity to join a company with huge growth plans and be the first dedicated manufacturing engineer for the facility. Small company environment where one will wear a lot of different hats. Exciting, fast paced, and entrepreneurial culture. Responsible for evaluating, establishing, and implementing manufacturing and quality requirements for products and processes used to produce precision building material products.. Additional responsibilities can include process ownership, implementation of automation, facility layouts, and manufacturing/process improvement projects aimed at waste reduction .
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Initiate and implement projects aimed at improving the quality/efficiency of operations and reducing the total cost of quality using lean manufacturing principles. Evaluation of current manual process and researching/implementing automation based alternatives. Develop quality plans, inspection processes, and sampling procedures for new products. Writes, reviews, and approves Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), technical reports and final reports for new products, processes, and equipment. Design, prototype, and procure fixtures used for testing and inspection purposes. Plan for facility expansion, including the layout of the new factory floor Support efforts to achieve ISO Certification.
Education, Experience, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required
  • 3+ years of experience working as a Manufacturing or Industrial Engineer in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Plant Layout Design (for new facility) preferred
  • Experience implementing industrial automation within a manufacturing environment.
This could be home grown design or working in partnership with a systems integration firm
Pay:
$80,000.00
  • $115,000.
