Pacific Pattern Technologies Pacific Pattern Technologies is a small investment casting tooling facility located in McMinnville, OR. We specialize in precision tooling for the investment casting industry and are seeking a versatile Manufacturing/Design Engineer to join our team. This role blends hands-on manufacturing with creative design work, ideal for someone who enjoys building tooling and fixtures and has experience programming for CNC machining and model development. Key Responsibilities Design and develop tooling for wax injection, core assemblies, and fixturing used in investment casting Collaborate with shop floor teams to ensure tooling meets process and quality requirements Create and modify 3D models and technical drawings using NX CAD software Program CNC machines and support CAM workflows for tooling production Troubleshoot design and fit issues, and iterate based on production feedback Maintain documentation and revision control for tooling designs Support continuous improvement initiatives in tooling and manufacturing processes CMM Inspect, Laser scan using Polyworks Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field a plus, or equivalent practical industry experience Experience in investment casting or precision tooling design preferred Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, NX) Programming experience with CNC systems and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, NX) Minimum of 2 years of experience Strong understanding of geometric tolerancing, mold assembly, and fixture design Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Why Join Us?
