Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on, highly pragmatic Manufacturing Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced production environment. This role is deeply embedded in day-to-day operations and serves as a critical technical partner to the shop floor while also supporting iterative product development, design updates, and manufacturability improvements. Success in this role requires strong practical judgment, self-direction, and adaptability, along with the ability to earn credibility and work effectively alongside experienced production personnel. You'll be someone who doesn't just design solutions—you roll up your sleeves, troubleshoot in real time, and implement improvements that drive results. This position supports a broad range of manufacturing and engineering activities including machining process improvement, tooling and fixture development, production troubleshooting, quality investigations, CAD updates, product refinement, and implementation of new and revised components into production. What Youll Do:
  • Lead the development, implementation, and improvement of manufacturing processes to support safe, efficient, and high-quality production
  • Support implementation of new and revised products including pilot builds, process validation, and production release.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource to production and assembly teams, providing troubleshooting of machining and process/product issues
  • Design, prototype, and implement workholding, tooling, fixtures, and gages
  • Develop and maintain production gaging strategies to ensure product quality and process capability
  • Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, including part prints, work instructions, and shop floor documentation
  • Maintain and update existing product designs, drawings and solid part files to support production, including tolerance adjustments and design for manufacturing
  • Evaluate and implement engineering design changes, ensuring updates are reflected in production processes, tooling and documentation
  • Maintain organization and integrity of engineering drawings, CAD models, and related technical documentation
  • Investigate product and process quality issues; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Identify and implement improvements in shop layout, workflow, tooling, and equipment utilization
  • Support the standardization of manufacturing practices, including CNC programming methodologies, tooling selection, and documentation
  • Champion safety initiatives and support compliance with company safety programs
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, throughput, and cost reduction
  • Communicate effectively to resolve issues and drive alignment Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing or Mechanical Preferred) or equivalent combination of Manufacturing Engineering and machining experience
  • 3 - 7 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering role within a CNC environment
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Production environments including process improvement, troubleshooting, and implementation of manufacturing solutions
  • Minimum of 2 years of CAD experience outside of academic coursework
  • Success in this role requires strong practical judgement, self-direction, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively with experienced production personnel in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
Skills:
    CAD Proficiency:
    Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD systems preferred
    • Ability to independently create, modify and maintain technical drawings
    • Experience updating product designs and tolerances to support manufacturing requirements
    • Strong troubleshooting skills related to machining processes, tooling, fixturing, and equipment
    • Practical mindset with the ability to diagnose issues and rapidly implement workable solutions in a production environment
    • Ability to operate independently while effectively collaborating cross functionally
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
    Pay:
    $77,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
