We are seeking a skilled CNC Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations, developing machining processes, improving productivity, and ensuring successful execution of customer requirements. Position Summary The CNC Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for CNC programming, manufacturing process development, CAD/CAM modeling, production support, quoting, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout both machine shop and foundry operations. This role serves as a key technical resource supporting safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong CNC programming experience, a manufacturing engineering mindset, and the ability to work closely with production, engineering, quality, and leadership teams to drive operational success. Essential Responsibilities Develop, edit, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for production machining operations. Create and maintain CAD/CAM models and toolpaths using CREO and Mastercam. Maintain current revisions of CNC programs, routings, drawings, and manufacturing databases. Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements to develop manufacturing processes. Determine tooling, fixturing, machine speeds, feeds, and machining methods required for production. Quote new machined products, including tooling, gauges, fixtures, and manufacturing requirements. Create and maintain part routings and product information within company systems. Coordinate customer CAD data, including STEP and IGES files, and communicate directly with customer engineering teams regarding design and geometry questions. Support production operations by troubleshooting machining and manufacturing issues. Develop and document manufacturing standards, procedures, and best practices. Identify and implement productivity improvements, cost-reduction opportunities, and process efficiencies. Support safety, quality, delivery, production, inventory, and financial performance goals. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while effectively prioritizing workloads. Support production supervision and operations as needed. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and company policies. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Associate Degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum three (3) years of CNC machining and programming experience. Strong knowledge of G-Code programming and editing. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications. Experience developing manufacturing processes and production routings. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Preferred Mastercam experience. CREO experience. Fanuc control programming experience. Mazak (EIA) programming experience. Ability to manually write and edit CNC code. PLC programming experience. Experience within a machine shop, foundry, heavy manufacturing, or industrial production environment. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities CNC programming and machining process optimization. CAD/CAM software proficiency. Manufacturing process development and continuous improvement. Tooling, fixturing, and production planning. Root cause analysis and problem-solving. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Strong collaboration skills across engineering, production, quality, and management teams. Commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence. Physical Requirements Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments. Frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, reaching, and lifting. Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 pounds. Ability to work in varying temperatures and industrial conditions. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including steel-toe footwear, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
