Job Description
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and finance, to identify and develop cost-saving opportunities. Facilitate events and meetings to define new cost out opportunities and build the pipeline. Evaluate and implement industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to cost management. Requires a bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering plus five (5) years of experience in VA/VE and cost out initiatives. Must have five (5) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently): Interface and working with Operations and Design Engineering to achieve VA/VE cost or productivity improvements Engineering concepts and ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications Manufacturing processes, including material management, manufacturing operations, cost accounting, quality processes and procedures, project management and Lean manufacturing Software packages including MS Word, MS Excel and advanced functions including Pivot Tables, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, CAD design and statistical analysis VA/VE concepts Project management Process and system improvement
