Job Description

Senior Project Engineer Location:
Hatfield, PA | Onsite The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for leading and executing complex capital projects that directly impact operational performance and business success. This role manages projects from concept through startup while ensuring alignment with budgets, timelines, and engineering standards. The position serves as a key technical leader, bridging engineering and operations while driving continuous improvement. This individual will also play a critical role in shaping engineering processes within a growing organization. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Lead capital projects from concept through design, execution, and startup Own project scope, budgets, timelines, and overall performance Ensure adherence to engineering standards, CAPEX processes, and company procedures Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, FSQA, safety, and maintenance Manage vendor relationships, equipment selection, and installation activities Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and operations Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and project teams Support new product commercialization and operational initiatives Lead capital projects from concept through design, execution, and startup Own project scope, budgets, timelines, and overall performance Ensure adherence to engineering standards, CAPEX processes, and company procedures Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, FSQA, safety, and maintenance Manage vendor relationships, equipment selection, and installation activities Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and operations Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and project teams Support new product commercialization and operational initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience Minimum 10 years of experience in technical project management Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to recover projects that are off track Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical and non-technical concepts Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Experience in regulated environments such as USDA, FDA, or pharmaceutical preferred Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience Minimum 10 years of experience in technical project management Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to recover projects that are off track Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical and non-technical concepts Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Experience in regulated environments such as USDA, FDA, or pharmaceutical preferred Physical Demands & Work Environment Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments Frequent standing, walking, and navigating production areas Occasional lifting of materials or equipment (up to 25 pounds) Exposure to typical manufacturing conditions including noise, temperature variation, and moving equipment Ability to use standard office and engineering tools and technology Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments Frequent standing, walking, and navigating production areas Occasional lifting of materials or equipment (up to 25 pounds) Exposure to typical manufacturing conditions including noise, temperature variation, and moving equipment Ability to use standard office and engineering tools and technology Travel Requirements Up to 15 to 25 percent travel, including visits to other facilities, vendors, and industry events
