A degree in Materials, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field, is ideal. Bachelor's degree preferred, but not necessary.•Experience:
Three to five years of recent manufacturing experience is preferred, ideally including metals manufacturing, pattern rigging design, casting upgrade processes, and machining of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Familiarity with all aspects of foundry and upgrade operations, as well as associated processes, is ideal, along with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to implement corrective actions and solutions.•Skills:
Must be able to read and interpret casting blueprints and further visualize how to design casting patterns and molds through spatial analysis. You must also understand shrink factors and feeding moduli when designing pattern rigging. Professional written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills, are required. This includes communicating effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. Exceptional organizational skills to ensure precise instructions with related results.Ability to read and understand blueprints with some knowledge of SolidWorks modeling platforms and laser scanning.
