Tool & Die Maker -Automation Department:
Project Support Group (PSG)Location:
On-Site Take pride in building what others can't. As Tool & Die Maker in our Automation group, you'll use your hands-on skill and problem-solving mindset to bring complex tooling and automation systems to life—from assembly and install to final debug. Working alongside engineering and manufacturing, you'll play a key role in delivering precision solutions that meet exacting standards and keep critical projects moving forward. This is a role for someone who thrives on craftsmanship, ownership, and seeing their work perform in the real world.What You'll Do:
Coordinate and plan assembly shop project workflows to meet delivery schedules. Assemble, troubleshoot, and debug precision tooling and automation systems. Install industrial automation systems and tooling at customer sites. Perform field service, repairs, and maintenance on customer equipment. Determine assembly methods, sequences, and system integration strategies. Support controls installation and system debugging. Participate in project kick-off and product realization meetings. Provide technical leadership and mentoring. Provide technical support across engineering, manufacturing, and development phases. Collaborate with project teams to resolve design or process challenges. Conduct proof-of-concept testing for feasibility of new projects.What We're Looking For:
Working knowledge of precision machining and grinding processes. Ability to read mechanical drawings and assembly instructions. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications; SolidWorks preferred. Ability to travel domestically and internationally (5-10%) Must be a U.S citizen and be able to comply with U.S. export regulations. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship. Ability to wear required PPE.Experience & Education:
Minimum 5 years' experience in CNC machining, grinding, or wire EDM environment. Tool & Die experience preferred. Automation system assembly experience preferred. Tool & die assembly experience preferred. Completion of apprenticeship program or equivalent experience preferred.Physical Requirements:
Stand or sit for extended periods (8-10 hours/day). Lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted. Frequent reaching, kneeling, stooping, and manual dexterity tasks. Ability to wear PPE and work around industrial equipment.Work Environment:
On-site manufacturing environment. Exposure to moving machinery and moderate noise levels. Frequent movement between departmentsWhat We Offer:
