Sr. Automation Engineer At Technimark, innovation drives everything we do. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Automation Engineer to lead the development, procurement, implementation, and optimization of complex automation systems across our worldwide manufacturing footprint. This is a highly visible technical leadership role with direct impact on operational excellence, automation strategy, and manufacturing innovation on a global scale. Responsibilities/Duties Global Automation Leadership Lead procurement and design oversight of complex automation systems to ensure seamless integration and operational efficiency Serve as the primary technical leader for automation projects involving customers, suppliers, and internal operations teams Collaborate with manufacturing sites, vendors, and cross-functional engineering teams Project Execution & Validation Oversee installation, startup, qualification, and validation activities for automation systems Develop and manage technical documentation including:
IQ/OQ/PQ
protocols URS documentation Validation specifications Preventive maintenance procedures Work instructions Technical Engineering & Continuous Improvement Conduct technical feasibility studies for assembly, automation, and decoration processes Troubleshoot and improve new and existing automation systems Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime, efficiency, and performance optimization Develop and maintain General Delivery Specifications for automation equipment Team Development & Collaboration Mentor and coach Automation Engineers and technical team members Work effectively with stakeholders ranging from floor-level technicians to executive leadership Coordinate automation activities with global suppliers and external partners Operational Support Support production startups related to automation equipment Manage construction and project timelines to meet qualification milestones and production demands Qualify new automation vendors globally Required Experience Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience 10+ yrs of experience as an Automation Engineer, Industrial Engineer, or similar technical role
Advanced Knowledge of:
Automation systems, Injection Molding operations, Part design & CAD, Manufacturing processes and Computer and control systems Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude Experience with scientific molding processes, DOE methodologies, and statistical analysis Strong technical writing skills for validation and engineering documentation Ability to lead complex technical projects independently Strong communication and interpersonal skills across diverse global teams Proven ability to collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders at all organizational levels Travel Up to 40% global travel required to support automation projects across Technimark's worldwide operations Technimark is an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or protected veteran status.
