Ask questions, learn continuously, and grow with confidence What You'll Do + Assist in planning and designing electric and gas distribution systems + Help determine the size, location, and timing of infrastructure needed for reliable service + Create design packages for overhead and underground distribution systems using AutoCAD + Participate in field visits to gather site data and better understand real-world conditions + Identify potential conflicts or design challenges and support solutions + Perform basic engineering calculations using established methods and tools + Support post-construction reviews and learn how designs translate into built systems + Work closely with teammates to learn industry standards, tools, and best practices + Maintain organized and accurate project documentation What You Bring + Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field + 0-2 years of experience (internships, co-ops, or coursework count!
) + Basic understanding of power distribution or energy systems + Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design tools + Strong willingness to learn, grow, and take feedback + Attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes + Good communication skills and eagerness to collaborate with a team Great to Have (But Not Required) + Exposure to overhead or underground distribution systems + Coursework or projects related to power delivery or utilities + Interest in infrastructure design, fieldwork, and energy systems What Your First Year Might Look Like + Learning industry standards and design tools + Shadowing experienced engineers on active projects + Gradually taking ownership of smaller design tasks and projects + Visiting job sites to connect design with real-world construction + Building confidence in your technical and professional skills Work Environment You'll work in a team-oriented engineering environment where learning is part of the job. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00
