The Role and Impact Join our team as a Power and Performance Design Engineer, where you will play a critical role in designing and optimizing Intel's cutting-edge IPs and SoCs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of computing by driving power efficiency, thermal management, and performance balance in our products. Your contributions will influence new architectures, enhance system capabilities, and advance the state of the art in performance and efficiency. As a key contributor, you will work cross-functionally to ensure Intel platforms meet market demands and deliver exceptional experiences to our customers. Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute power and performance plans for IPs and SoCs. Conduct feature analysis from a power and performance perspective, identifying and closing gaps between observed behavior and target goals on development platforms. Optimize and characterize power, thermal, and performance/watt configurations to align with architectural goals and market requirements. Develop innovative tools for architectural performance analysis and methodologies to drive continuous improvement in power and performance optimization. Collaborate with design, architecture, binning/technology, and manufacturing teams to identify and address power activity zones and meet consumption objectives. Provide recommendations for future architectures and enhancements based on analysis and validation results. Analyze, validate, and tune system architectures and features to achieve a balanced performance-power tradeoff. Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your degree, research and or relevant previous job and or internship experiences. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related specialized field with 9 or more years of relevant experience or 6 or more years of relevant experience with a Master's degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with a PhD in: Power and Performance Analysis and Optimization methodologies. Digital Design Fundamentals and Electrical Fundamentals. Problem-solving and disciplined execution of power and performance strategies. Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
