Senior Design Engineer

Job Overview This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at MAP Oil Tools, Inc. in New Iberia, LA. The responsibilities include designing and developing mechanical systems, machine components, and product prototypes for downhole tools (packer, bridge plug, cement retainer). The role involves creating and modifying detailed technical drawings using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the development of efficient and reliable products. The engineer will also work on evaluating and improving existing product designs to enhance performance and meet client requirements. Hybrid role preferred, remote role is possible

Qualifications:

Proficiency in Design Engineering, Machine Design, and Mechanical Engineering Experience in Product Design with a strong focus on practical application in the upstream oil and gas industry Advanced skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for drafting and modeling Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field 5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design of Downhole Tools Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in mechanical design and safety

Pay:

From $80,000.00 per year
