Pay Range:
41.00 - 44.00 USD per hour •Primary Function•The Project Engineer supports cross-functional product development and engineering initiatives from concept through production. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with quality and regulatory standards. The position works closely with internal teams and external partners to coordinate technical activities, manage documentation, and drive execution in a fast-paced environment.
Contract:
4/27/26 to 10/27/26Hybrid in Pawtucket, RI.
Max pay rate:
$44/hr. •Duties & Responsibilities•Support engineering projects across the full product development lifecycle, including concept, design, validation, and production.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Design, Packaging, Quality, Sourcing, and Manufacturing to ensure alignment and execution.

Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure on-time completion.

Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, product specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOM).Review engineering drawings, prototypes, and testing results to support design validation.

Contribute to risk assessments, including DFMEA and PFMEA, and assist with validation testing activities.

Monitor project cost targets and support cost-reduction initiatives.

Participate in supplier communications and follow-ups with manufacturing partners.

Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards throughout the development process. •Skills & Qualifications•Strong project coordination and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Effective cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems is a plus.

Basic understanding of engineering drawings, product development processes, and manufacturing workflows.

Familiarity with risk assessment tools (DFMEA/PFMEA) and validation processes preferred.

Exposure to CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) is a plus. •Education & Experience•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.1-3 years of relevant engineering or project experience (internships and co-ops considered).Preferred QualificationsExperience in project management methodologies or tools.

Background in consumer products, toys, packaging, or manufacturing industries.

Exposure to overseas manufacturing environments and supplier collaboration.
